ap59h (ap59h) asked a question.

Change domain or migrate to new one?

We have an on-prem AD and use Okta for O365 and a few other applications.

We're re-branding company so we need to change our Okta sub-domain.

Is it easier to change the sub-domain, or setup a new one and re-create/migrate to it?

Okta apparently can't "schedule" a sub-domain change so bar based on my correspondence with them, which has me a wee bit worried.

As far as I know, you can't change the sub domain once created. I think you can create a new one & migrate the configurations/objects. Okta support team can help you with migration.

We were, at one point, in the same position. Based on the number of apps we have, we would choose/chose to get a new org and migrate the apps to the new org. In the interim, you could create an Ord2Org relationship to make the transition a little more seamless.
