ujmv7 (ujmv7) asked a question.
I recently installed PagerDuty app for my Android cell phone. Since my company uses Okta, I try to sign in using Identity Provider. I enter the our subdomain, and click on the “Sign in with your identity provider” button. That opens a web page that connects to Okta, which will authorize access to PagerDuty. I enter my username and password and click “Sign in” button. After this, the page says Signing in to PagerDuty and stays there forever.
If I try this from the phone browser, login works fine. I contacted PagerDuty support first, but they said since phone browser login works, the issue is probably with Okta. I am not sure if that's the case, but I wanted to contact here to see if there are any known issues.
- Like I mentioned, I installed the PagerDuty app for the first time about 3 weeks ago.
- I could never login to the app through Okta single sign-on. (Not that there is any other way for me to login)
- I cleared the app cache, phone cache, uninstall, re-install the PagerDuty app, it didn't work.
- My company uses Duo for MFA. After entering my user name and password, occasionally I am asked for Duo code, but most times, login page hangs indefinitely. A few times I was asked for Duo code, however the login still hang all the time after that step.
- For all other Android users in my company, PagerDuty app works fine.
Android version is 8.0.0, phone brand is Samsung Galaxy S7.
Thanks

Hi Tolga - thanks for posting to the Community!
Thanks so much for providing all of these helpful details. We are not aware of any widespread bugs with PagerDuty, but I would recommend working with the Okta Admin at your company to open an official support case with us to investigate further.
