tpnts (tpnts) asked a question.
I assigned a GSuite user (ex: userA@gmail.com) to Okta user (ex: userB@gmail.com) and changed to username in the GSuite assignment within Okta to the GSutie username (userA@gmail.com) but was unable to log in via Okta SSO. Is this possible? I do not want to add the current GSuite user as a new user in Okta, i want to assign it to a current user.

If your application is setup as a SWA application, that should work, since you can essentially set the username and/or the password for this application to any user's. (Including users being able to use shared credentials)
However, when setting the application as SAML, in order for userb to be signed in to usera account, or viceversa, the SAML assertion needs to contain the information expected by GSuite to complete the sign in.
Please bear in mind that a user account can only be assigned once to each app. He cannot have the same instance of the app assigned twice.
