We are new to Okta. We are wanting to configure Okta as the Idp (SAML) and integrate it with our Big-IP Edge Client for VPN. Will the Okta SAML connection work Ok with the Big-IP Edge Client or not?

Are you by any chance referring to our integration with F5 BIG-IP ? If you want to integrate F5 BIG-IP with Okta via SAML 2.0, you will need to add the F5 BIG IP SAML for APM and VPN SAML App in Okta by navigating to the Applications tab, select Applications > Add Application, search for F5 BIG IP SAML for APM and VPN, then click Add.
After you created the SAML App, you will find the Setup Instructions in the Sign On tab.

Do we have a solution for F5 edge client, our web based solution is working however edge client fails to connect.
We see this in access log in f5 "could not find an IdP connector for saml aaa server that matches IdP selection criteria"
Ours works just fine. Our Infrastructure team setup the configuration for the Edge client with information obtained from the F5 site.
