pf0s4 (pf0s4) asked a question.

Office 365 is the master

Hello everyone - Client has O365 as the master. When we are implementing Airwatch alonside Okta to a series of Android phones - I'd like them to login through Okta with their o365 password.

Is that possible?

If I wanted to roll this out successfully, allowing them to use their o365 password before implementing a Okta password policy - can I get o365 to be the master?

Instead of AD > Okta > App; I'd like it to be App(o365 in this case) > Okta > App (Airwatch).

Thoughts?

Thanks.

  • Hi Chris!

Florin here from the Okta Support team.

There might be a lot of variable here that we need to cover. Usually, it is not possible to have an integration like Office 365 serve as a Profile Master in Okta, however, if you use Azure AD in the backend of Office 365, you can try using that AD to sync the password into Okta, while licenses and roles can be imported into Okta by using the Office 365 app. If you have further questions on this, I suggest on creating a case with Okta Support team to explore this option further.

    Wish you a great day!
