Docusign Unlimited - Username and Email Combination Already Exists

Hi there, has anyone encountered a DocuSign Provisioning error of "Username and email combination already exists for this account?" And if so, what is the fix?

 

We're unable to use "Silent Activation via API" for our DocuSign accounts.

 

​When we activate a user in Okta and then assign them DocuSign, they have been getting an "Activate your DocuSign" email, as if it's a brand new account. When I try to refresh the errors in the Okta Tasks page, instead of "The UserID does not have a valid membership in this account", it changes to "Username and email combination already exists".

    This sounds like an issue with the provisioning settings of Docusign, if you do not have Update Attributes enabled and the User already exists in DocuSign then it will return the error that the user already exists and it can not be updated.

    If this is not the case then I would suggest opening a support ticket with us to have this looked at as it might have something to do with how these users are getting created.
