What are the settings needed for Okta integration with Elasticsearch and Kibana?
I followed the documentation from Elastic but I am unable to successfully integrate Okta. The SAML documentation is here:

If you followed the instruction in the documentation you provided it should work.
However if it does not, please try and re-upload the metadata or/and certificate and try again.
If this fails as well, please open a support ticket and an engineer will assist you step by step.

I am facing the same issue, I try to find a IDP for my elastic cloud service (SAML2 SSO)
There some question I want to ask:
1. upload the metadata or/and certificate:
is 'metadata' in step 9 of (https://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/saml-application-setup/overview/) ?
what about certificate? (https://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/byo-saml/overview/) in what situation should I use certificate?
2. in ( https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud/current/ec-securing-clusters-SAML.html) , I am not quiet sure which values should I modify in configuration (what I know is that idp.metadata.path, idp.entity_id should be changed correspond to the 'application' I create in okta. Even though I still failed in deployment)
please give me some suggestion, thanks
