Do not challenge me on this device again checkbox
I am setting up MFA for users that sign into their Okta dashboard off the network.  The sign-in screen has a checkbox labeled "Do not challenge me on this device again".  I need to know how to remove that checkbox.  We to NOT want our users bypassing MFA.  Thanks

  • Hello Jason,

    As per: https://support.okta.com/help/articles/Knowledge_Article/99245886-Configuring-Sign-On-Policies

End User Control of MFA Prompts

    - Per Device: generates a Do not challenge me on this device again message on the challenge page. This option allows prompts solely for new devices.

So, keeping above as a active feature will allow the end user to see the box.

Switching it to "Every Time" will prompt the user for MFA every time they sign into Okta.

    --------------------

If the "Do not challenge me on this device again" happens for applications, set the rules as such:

You can find this under the application - sign-on - rules

    00P2A00000fxzKV

That way they it forces the user to use the MFA everytime, but it doesn’t allow them to remember the device.
