How to Setup MS SQL Server as Profile Master?
Hi,

How do I setup and configure Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 as a Profile Master in Okta?

Is it correct that I must use the Okta On-Premise Provisioning Agent and the Provisoning Agent SDK to write my own SCIM Connector message to import/sync user data?

Is there a native MS SQL Server connector I can use? If not, does SQL Server 2012 R2 natively support SCIM?

Thanks!

  • Hey Andrew,

If this is an On-Prem SQL server, then yes the On-Prem Provisioning Agent is required and you can use SCIM to integrate with Okta to pass / sync User Attribute Data.

The OPP Agent is typically configured through the involvement of Professional Services, and you can open a Support Case for us to reach out and involve that Team to assist you further.
