Overview
Okta Group Push synchronizes existing Okta groups and their memberships to provisioning-enabled, third-party applications. Administrators trigger a group push manually, by changing group membership, or by enabling the provisioning flow. Okta manages pushed groups, and modifying the group directly in the target application causes synchronization issues.

What events trigger an Okta group push?
Okta does not use a timer or scheduler to determine how often a group push starts. Review the following events that trigger an Okta group push.
- An administrator selects the manual Push Now option.
- An administrator changes the membership of the pushed group.
- An administrator enables the provisioning flow after a previous deactivation. This includes newly assigned users if they are already members within the push group.
