Okta Verify is a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) application that allows users to verify their identity when signing in to Okta, ensuring that only the intended user attempts to log in. Deployment information can be found in the Okta Verify deployment documentation.
This article clarifies whether there is a limit to the number of Okta Verify devices that can be enrolled to a user account.
- Okta Verify on Mobile Devices
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
When enrolling Okta Verify (OV), the Set up another button will be seen in the Okta Dashboard setting until 10 devices are enrolled. Once the devices have been enrolled, Set up another is no longer displayed, preventing the user from setting up Okta Verify from the Okta Dashboard. See Add your Okta Verify account to an Android device from the apps dashboard Settings page.
An end user can continue enrolling for an account from a new device by entering the Org URL directly in the Okta Verify app.
- Open the Okta Verify app from a Mobile Device.
- Tap the + sign (located in the upper right corner) to add an account.
- Select Organization.
- On Add account from another device? > Click Skip.
- On Do you have a QR Code? > Click No, sign in instead.
- Type in the Organization's sign-in URL.
