Overview

When performing Test API Credentials for Egnyte SCIM 2.0 API integration, get the following integration error:

Error authenticating: Unauthorized. Errors reported by remote server: Invalid JSON: Unexpected character ('<' (code 60)): expected a valid value (JSON String, Number, Array, Object or token 'null', 'true' or 'false') at [Source: (String)"<h1>Developer Inactive</h1>"; line: 1, column: 2]

Cause
API Token used for creating the API connection is invalid. 
Solution
  1. Go to the Egnyte/Okta SCIM Setup URL to generate an API Key for configuring the API integration in Okta. This page will help with generating an Egnyte Public API Access Token for setting up SCIM 2.0 support for Egnyte in Okta. Enter the Egnyte domain name and click Get API Key. Refer to Egnyte: Configuration Guide for more details.

Egnyte/Okta SCIM Setup

  1. Go to Okta Admin Console and navigate to Applications > Applications > Egnyte SCIM 2.0 > Provisioning > Integration > Edit.

  2. In the API Token, enter the API key received in step 1.

  3. Click Test API Credentials, verify the connection was successful, and then click Save.
