Enroll Multiple Devices in Okta Verify

Overview

End-users can enroll multiple devices in Okta Verify. Currently, Okta does not provide a method to restrict Okta Verify enrollment to a single device or exclusively to managed devices. Consequently, administrators cannot disable the function to add an account from another device.

Solution

How are multiple devices enrolled in Okta Verify?

End-users add multiple devices to Okta Verify by navigating to the Settings tab in the Okta End-User Dashboard and selecting Set Up Another under Okta Verify in the Security Methods section. Okta prompts the user to enroll another device by scanning a QR code.

 

NOTE: Okta pushes notifications to all registered devices.

Okta Does Not Support Restricting Okta Verify to a Single Device

Currently, Okta does not provide a method to limit end-users to a single Okta Verify device or a managed device. Therefore, administrators cannot disable the Add Account from Another Device function.
