What are the auto-confirm matching options?

Okta provides specific matching options to automatically confirm exact and partial user matches during the import process.

• Auto-confirm exact matches: Okta automatically confirms the user when an exact match with the predefined criteria occurs. This option only applies to existing users in Okta. If an imported user lacks an Okta profile, the imported profile appears in the import tab.
• Auto-confirm partial matches: Okta automatically confirms user creation when a partial match with predefined criteria occurs.

• Auto-confirm new users: Okta automatically creates and confirms an Okta profile. The user remains in a staged status in most cases because they lack a configured password.
