In ShareFile > Provisioning > Integration tab, enter OAuth Consumer Key and OAuth Consumer Secret and click on Authenticate with ShareFile. The ShareFile API authentication flow fails with the following error:

Error: Unable to validate requested client.
 

• ShareFile
• Provisioning
• Error
• Okta Integration Network (OIN)

The ShareFile OAuth Consumer Key and/or OAuth Consumer Secret used to create the API connection are invalid. This error could also be caused by an incorrect Base URL in the Application > General tab > App Settings.

Please follow the below video or steps:


 

1. Go to the Okta Admin Console and navigate to the Applications > Applications > ShareFile > General tab. Verify the Base URL, for example, https://org.sharefile.com.
2. Then, go to Provisioning > Integration > Click the Edit button.
3. Enter a valid ShareFile OAuth Consumer Key and OAuth Consumer Secret. Click Authenticate with ShareFile.
4. To continue, enter the account's subdomain. For example, if the account's URL is mycompany.sharefile.com, enter mycompany.

5. Enter the ShareFile Amin account credentials:

• Enter the admin email.
• Enter the admin password.
• Click the Sign In button.

5. Back on the Provisioning page in Okta, a message will confirm the successful authentication. Click Save.
