Overview
When attempting to assign or edit user assignments, newly acquired Microsoft Office 365 licenses do not appear in Okta. This occurs because the application data in Okta is outdated. Resolve this issue by re-authenticating the API credentials or refreshing the application data for all applications in the Okta Admin Console.
Applies To
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Okta Classic Engine
- Microsoft Office 365
- Provisioning
Cause
This issue occurs because the Microsoft Office 365 application data is outdated in Okta.
Solution
How is the application data refreshed only for Microsoft Office 365?
One method is to re-authenticate the API credentials used for provisioning to download and update the Microsoft Office 365 application data in Okta.
- In the Okta Admin Console, navigate to Applications > Applications.
- Select the Microsoft Office 365 application.
- Select the Provisioning tab and choose Integration.
- Select Re-authenticate with Microsoft Office 365.
- Log in with a Microsoft Global administrator credential with multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled in the new window.
Refresh the Application Data for All Applications
Alternatively, update the application data globally by refreshing the application data in the Okta Admin Console.
NOTE: Refreshing the application data triggers an import of application data for all applications configured with provisioning.
- In the Okta Admin Console, navigate to Applications > Applications.
- Select More and choose Refresh Application Data.
