Can someone help me with this 403 access forbidden issue

When an end user attempts to access an application or the Okta dashboard, a 403 forbidden error occurs. This issue happens because the user lacks the required permissions, which are managed by the organization. To resolve this error, the user must contact their internal IT support or Help Desk for assistance.

Error example: " 403 access forbidden "

• Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
• Okta Classic Engine
• End Users

Cause

The user does not have the appropriate permissions or access policies assigned to their account to access the requested application or resource.

Solution

How is a 403 access forbidden error resolved for an end user?

Contact the internal IT department to review account permissions and resolve the access error.

1. Note that while Okta provides the product, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Okta Verify, individual application access and account management are handled by the organization at the tenant level.
2. Identify the internal IT support or Help Desk contact for the organization.
3. Contact the IT support team and provide the exact error message and the name of the application generating the error.
4. Request that the IT support team review the account access policies to grant the necessary permissions.
