Auth Change to Okta
Hey team, does anyone have any insight on how we can use the Okta sign-in page when accessing the Google Cloud (GCP) Console, instead of being redirected through Google Workspace?
We're trying to have users authenticate through Okta directly when accessing the GCP Console. Any guidance on the recommended configuration would be appreciated.

Hi @SurajB.69263 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
Users attempting to access the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Console directly receive a prompt from Google for an email address before the browser redirects to Okta for authentication. This occurs because Google requires Home Realm Discovery to identify federated domains. Bypass the initial Google prompt by utilizing a specific Service Provider-initiated (SP-initiated) login URL that directs the authentication flow straight to Okta.

Solution
How does an administrator bypass the Google Workspace login screen for the Google Cloud Platform Console?
The Google Cloud Platform features a dedicated SAML implementation supporting both Identity Provider-initiated (IdP-initiated) and SP-initiated login flows. When navigating directly to the standard GCP Console URL, Google performs Home Realm Discovery. This architecture requires an email address entry to recognize a federated domain before redirecting the browser to Okta.
Bypass the initial Google Workspace login screens by constructing and distributing a specific SP-initiated login URL to users.
NOTE: For example, if the domain is acme.com, the URL is https://www.google.com/a/acme.com/ServiceLogin?continue=https://console.cloud.google.com.
Summary
Use a specific login URL to bypass the Google Workspace prompt and authenticate directly to the Google Cloud Platform Console through Okta.
