High volume of Okta OAuth failures

we have found a high volume of Okta OAuth failures for one of our client ID

• Event: app.oauth2.as.authorize
• Error: login_required
• Volume: ~12K events in a day

This appears to be a client process repeatedly calling Okta /authorize without an active user session. Since login_required need an interactive login, immediate retries will not resolve it.

Could you confirm whether this client is configured for the appropriate OAuth flow and advise whether these events should be treated as application-level authorization failures rather than customer login failures?
