Hi Team,
We are currently facing an issue with one of our existing setups with OKTA. A few years ago, a technical team integrated Okta for authentication and user management for our portal.
Recently, we started encountering a CORS issue during login to our portal. While investigating this, we attempted to access the Okta developer account but received the following error:
“This developer org has been deactivated. If you need access or have questions, please contact your org admin.”
We understand that the Okta admin account was registered under different email address, which is currently inactive at our end. As a result, we are unable to recover or access the Okta account and are currently stuck badly.
We have tried reaching out to Okta support but have not received any response so far - and it is very pain to get prompt reply. Could someone please help us connect with the appropriate person from your team who can assist with this or suggest alternatively?
We are currently blocked and not able to use our system.

Hi @User17464718540487471942 (Customer) Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
Reaching out to our colleagues via developers@okta.com is currently the only option available to see if you can somehow validate/confirm ownership and from there discuss options for reactivation if at all possible.
More details here:
Since February 2025, customers have been notified via an in-product notification banner in the developer org regarding this change event, which started in July.
As mentioned in the developer blog Changes Are Coming to the Okta Developer Edition Organizations, orgs will need to be migrated to Integrator Free Plan.
If the org has been deactivated as part of the change the following steps are available:
1: If you already have a different paid account with us, please use it to log in to the Okta Help Center and open a ticket with the support to team to discuss options.
2: If you are an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) with an app in the Okta Integration Network (OIN):
3: If you do not have a paid account with us:
Regards.
