PhilS.28776 (Customer) asked a question.

Okta Verify Mobile App: Accounts disappearing randomly

In the past two weeks, two different MFA code accounts in my Okta Verify mobile app have disappeared on their own. What could have caused this?

App version: 8.17.2

Mobile device: Pixel 9

Depending on the how often you use the app, it's possible that the Android features turn off the app resulting in the account falling out of sync with the services. The devices time and date setting being set to automatic is also crucial for proper functionality.

That being said, I would recommend reaching out to your company's or service provider's IT support or Help Desk so they can review the matter and provide further assistance. Depending on company policies, you might also require their assistance for re-enrollement.

If needed, a dedicated Okta Admin can open a case to work with our colleagues from the Okta Support team for an in-depth investigation.

While Okta provides the Product(IAM, SSO, Okta Verify etc.), individual application access, account management and access policies are handled by your organization or service provider.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!

I just removed an account and recreated it, which made the most recent account created disappear. I currently have 11 accounts in the Okta Verify mobile app.

This behavior makes the application look unreliable. Any insight?
