Authentication denied

Hi! I think I deactivated all 2 step methods allowed to login for my account, but the account already had 2fa enabled. So now after I insert the password, because the authenticator is not allowed, I get the screen with "Authentication denied", so I'm not able to login into the account, to put back all the authentication method for 2fa. Looks like I'm stuck. How could help me? Thanks!

If you have a Paid Service with Okta, you can open a case with Support and they should be able to provide further assistance from that side.

If you are using a Free Trial/Developer account, at this time these type of account do not have access to support and unfortunately there is nothing we can do. You may, however, create a new free trial/Developer account and make sure that when you remove a policy, you test the changes in a different browser to avoid this type of situations.

Thank you for reaching out to our Community and have a great day!

    I agree with Paul's comments.

You seem to be getting a different error. I was able to get past the "Unable to Sign-In" error in a similar situation while researching the combination of Global, Enrollment, and Sign-On policies.

You can try accessing the admin URL {your-sub-domain}-admin.okta|oktapreview.com. If you had a different policy for the Okta Admin dashboard than the end user dashboard, you might be able to log in.

Once you are able to get back in, I would suggest creating a test user and a test group and make the changes to your policies using that test user and test group so if the test user gets locked out, you are not locked out.
