Why I can't create an API token and I get step-up authentication error ?
I want to create an API token in my free trial account, but I encountered this error :

Hey Mahdi! You aren't getting an error, you are being requested to perform MFA/Step-Up Authentication to conduct this action since it is a protected action. You should be able to complete this with Okta Verify or Okta FastPass assuming you have that authenticator setup.
More broadly, there are a lot of actions an administrator can take that require MFA/Step-Up Authentication to complete them as a security measure.

The Protected actions are discussed in this article and you will need to make sure your browser does not block the pop-up for the Okta page.
