Unable to sign in to Okta Dev Account

I requested for an Okta development account and received an email to activate the same.

When I click on activation link, it verifies my password and then asks me to verify via Okta verify prompt which I am not getting. As an alternate, I am suggested to go to Okta verify plug in and there I try to add this developer account details with my account ID: [Redacted by Moderator]. I get an error saying "The URL you're trying to sign in with is not secure"

Hi @VibhatiA.03690 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

Please note that free developer/trial accounts are only recoverable via self-service provided that you have configured the appropriate policies and backup accounts. There currently is no way for us to validate the free org sign up process.

I would recommend the only option left is to sign up for a new free trial or developer account with a new email and leverage those for testing. For an alternate email, you could possibly look into the process mentioned at step 2 in this article

If you have a paid production/developer account with us, please leverage it to open a case via the support.okta.com site or call the support line (Customer Support Account ID number required) so our Okta Support colleagues can review the matter. If for whatever reason those options are not available for you, please contact your Okta Account Executive or Customer Success Manager, and they will be able to engage the Support team on your behalf.

Beyond that, engaging our Okta Sales team to discuss the matter of getting Okta Support services would be the only option as it is unfortunately completely outside of the Okta Community Team's scope.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!
