Domain Being In Pending Status

I had to update expired Security certificate. On My screen, security certificate has correct expiration date. All mt DNS related entries had been propagated with AWS Rty53 for over a year. What is going on? I have dead website for 3 days. I am on the free-tier, so I can't open support ticket, yet this is clearly tech support issue.

    @Paul S. (Okta, Inc.)​ Thank you for point me out into correct direction. Here is solution:

    • Delete hanging domain
    • Re-create that same domain
    • Update TXT record with new value, since this is "new" domain
    • Update CNAME to the custom domain value as it is given in the process of re-crating domain

     

    For whatever reason, why CNAME pointing to AWS EC2 instance did work for almost two years until this weekend is beyond me. I am not an infrastructure developer. I hope that this answer helps someone.

    Usually this issue is happening when the DNS miss-match between the CNAME in Okta and the place you have the domain registered into.

    I would recommend a flush of DNS to see if that resolved anything.

    @Paul S. (Okta, Inc.)​ : I just do not understand why replacing an expired secure certificate is creating such an issue

      Hello @VladimirB.45940 (Customer)​  Not sure what could cause this. You can try to redo the process.

      Also Flush DNS needs to be done from the place where you got the domain.
