27dvj (27dvj) asked a question.
- Use MacOS sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70) (current version)
- Installed the Okta Verify via Apple AppStore (Mac OS)
- Launch App (register with your Company portal, app does not automatically get recognised - what a bummer)
- Setup "another" okta verify in my company portal (enrollment URL: https://company.okta.com/auth/push/link/...)
- the link in the enrollment page fails to activate the app (URL: oktaverify://me/?t=...), browser error message: "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid."
- ???
Seems like the Okta Verify app in the official app store fails to register the URI scheme.

Hello @27dvj (27dvj) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.
That is not the URL scheme registered for desktop apps. It looks like you're trying to use an email enrollment link. Please review the following article on how to add an account in Okta Verify:
Get started with Okta Verify on macOS devices - this covers initial setup
Manage Okta Verify accounts on macOS devices - this covers how to add or remove an account after the initial setup
Regards.

That's exactly what I did. Step by step from the linked documentation.
I also tried the "Add existing Account by using Bluetooth", but the Okta Verify app on my iPhone seems to fail to register Bluetooth Access with iOS (version 18.3.1, currently the latest version), and the Bluetooth option does not find my mobile device.
The Okta Verify app is not listed in iOS Settings -> Privary&Security -> Bluetooth, so there is no way to grant access to bluetooth on my phone to the Okta Verify App.
Seems like both apps are not registering required functions correctly with the latest operating system versions.
I have already removed and re-installed the Okta Verify apps on both the iPhone and the Mac from Apple App Store.
Just to be sure we are talking about the same app: https://apps.apple.com/de/app/okta-verify/id490179405
Hello @27dvj (27dvj) , I recommend that you open a Support ticket (Customer Support Account ID number required) so one of our engineers can analyze it and provide in-depth troubleshooting. You could also provide more details in a ticket that shouldn’t be given here, as this is a public space.
Please note that opening a support ticket is a feature available only to paid accounts. If you do not have a paid account, but are interested in upgrading, you can contact our Sales team.
Regards.
