tyibk (tyibk) asked a question.

iPhone restored to factory settings, trying to retreive access to Instragram that was linked prior to factorys reset.

My school uses Okta as an MFA authentication app. To avoid downloading another app, I added Instagram to Okta when prompted to add a multifactor option.

Since the iPhone restore, Okta has been like a new app, and I don't have access to the "Pro Insta" block, which makes it impossible to log into Instagram.

I have no way to contact Okta directly as I don't have an account to "open a case." I tried to create a new account to see what next steps were available and got "You Do Not Have Access to Create a Case," which looped me back to posing this to the general community.

Hello @tyibk (tyibk) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.

If you are using the Okta Verify app as an end user, Okta does not manage your accounts. Instead, each account is managed by the company or service provider that requested that you use multifactor authentication. In other words, for your school account, you should contact your school's IT Support, while for your Instagram account, you should contact Instagram support.

Opening a support case with Okta implies that you have a paid Okta org. Free trial or free developer orgs are not entitled to opening a support case. As an end user, you do not need any of this.

    Regards.
