How to streamline Okta login experience?

Our customer is saying our current Okta login is not optimal. How can we achieve this experience? Do we need to create an app on the Okta developer center? Please share more details.

 

  • Current behavior: Log in to Okta. Click on the app tile. I am redirected to our SSO login page with Okta. I click “Log in with Okta”. I am redirected to the app dashboard and logged in.

    I suggest you look at your Okta logs to determine what is trigging the additional login. My guess is that authentication policies/rules are probably where you will want to focus.

    Hello @AngeloH.07167 (Customer)​ Thank you for posting on our Community page!

     

    If you are using a Custom SAML application, you can see if adding the Destination URL to be the URL of you app dashboard will fix this.

    Also having the app in the Okta catalogue will make the application more easy to configure by other clients and you will be able to work with Okta engineers to have the application configured as you intend.
