Urgent Assistance Required: Unable to Access OKTA Admin Panel

Dear Support Team,

Since today, all of our admin users are unable to log in to the admin panel of our OKTA account.

We received the message below and currently have no way to access the platform.

"sign_on?errorTitleCode=error.sign_on_denied&errorDetailsCode=error.sign_on_denied_details"

Our login URL is:

https://dev-79720878.okta.com/

or

https://auth.zetta.health/

This issue is impacting our access to the OKTA Admin platform; however, our customers continue to have access to the OAuth services.

I kindly request your assistance as urgently as possible.

Best regards,

Daniel

  • Hello @User16693831394549339628 (Customer) Thank you for posting on our Community page!

The error points towards an authentication policy which may or may not be misconfigured.

In alignment with the Okta Secure Identity Commitment, Okta is requiring customers to use multifactor authentication (MFA) to access their Okta Admin Console. MFA is an effective tool to protect against identity attacks.

We are in the process of rolling this out and you should expect that this will be completed in Q4.

The MFA will be required on all orgs and no admins will be exempt.

We recommend reviewing the Frequently Asked Questions article on this subject.

If you have a production account with us, please leverage it to open a case via the support.okta.com site or call the support line so our colleagues can investigate and confirm if the issue is related.

If for whatever reason those options are not available for you, please contact your Okta Account Executive or Customer Success Manager, and they will be able to engage the Support team on your behalf.

If no paid developer or production account is available, the only option left is to sign up for a new free trial or developer account.

Thank you for reaching out to our Community and have a great day!

    • Dear Paul,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am reaching out regarding the following information from the FAQ:
I am locked out of the admin console. What can I do now?
A: If you have other authenticators enabled in your org, you can go to the Settings app on the Okta End User Dashboard and enroll in an MFA factor before accessing the admin console. Please contact support for further assistance.
Unfortunately, I am currently unable to access the Okta End User Dashboard or Im unsure of the correct way to do so. Additionally, I cannot submit a support ticket to assist in enabling MFA or using an existing factor.
To complicate matters further, even admin users who previously had MFA enabled are unable to log in.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance or assistance in resolving this issue, as it is crucial to regain access to the admin console and enable MFA for my admin account.
Thank you for your time and support.
      Best regards,

      Daniel Carnelossi

Free trial or Developer account credentials or MFA cannot be accessed by anyone outside of the primary account administrator. Therefore, Okta is unable to access or reset your username and password or MFA.

You may, however, create a new free trial/Developer account. We encourage you to save the credentials to ensure access in the future.

Also please note that if you have a Paid Service with Okta, you can open a case with support for additional assistance.

Thank you for reaching out to our Community and have a great day!
