GreggH.37535 (ITX Tech Group) asked a question.

How would Okta rate as a RADIUS/NPS replacement?

Good afternoon, all!

I'm doing some preliminary scouting to see if Okta might be a viable solution to replace an on-prem RADIUS/NPS infrastructure that may not suit us going forward.

The primary use would be to authenticate both users and devices to a secure wireless network. The preferred solution would authenticate a device to the wireless network before the user logs in to the Windows domain, allowing a seamless user experience with as few steps as necessary. We would also want to authenticate various smart devices, such as phones, tablets, electronic notepads, and so forth - also with as few user steps as necessary.

Any thoughts on Okta's suitability for this kind of application?

Thanks to all for looking!

Gregg
