SMS Removal and Okta Fast Pass

With the removal of SMS service, what process can users expect if they have not added an additional method and SMS is the only one in use. Will the simply be prompted to continue the login and add a new MFA method, or will they be locked out until an admin can intervene.

 

Additionally with Okta Fast pass, can a user use this a the sole MFA option, or will they also need the Okta Verify mobile app alongside FastPass?

    If one MFA is removed, the Policy for the new MFA should prompt them to setup a new one (if it's setup that way). The FastPass should technically still work, however if the new MFA is required and the Sign-On policy does not allow them to sign in without an additional MFA and the MFA policy does not prompt them to setup a new one, they need an Admin to reset the MFA to unblock them.
