znoi3 (znoi3) asked a question.
Okta makes the ip addresses for their various cells available via an s3 bucket https://help.okta.com/en-us/content/topics/security/ip-address-allow-listing.htm
When there are changes to these ip addresses, is there a phase in period before the new servers are routable via DNS?
Firewalls may not necessarily be updated immediately after a these addresses are changed and if there is a phase in period, it doesn’t appear to be documented.

Hi @znoi3 (znoi3) , thank you for contacting Okta Community.
The service you are inquiring about is provided through a third party, so we do not have all the information regarding this issue. You can try contacting Amazon Web Services with this question, and they may be able to clarify it.
Regards.

@User17157611498146715886 (Customer Support Online Community and Social Care) S3 is an aws service but per the article I linked, Okta maintains the ip addresses in the file.
aws shouldn’t have control over the Okta op addresses. Something is seriously wrong if they do.
@znoi3 (znoi3) The IP list is dynamic; you would have to monitor it. It also contains the future reserved IPs. On the rare occasion when we add an IP in the future, a communication will be sent out to the Super Admins ahead of time. As long as you have notifications enabled, you should receive it. You can contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Executive for more details.
Regards.
