ej67h (ej67h) asked a question.

Use OKTA to authenticate a user in a phone IVR menu

Hi,

I am looking to see how I can help authenticate a user in an IVR to unlock a password

Scenario

1 Customer calls a phone support line and selects the option that their password needs resetting/is locked

2 Customer then has to enter a unique ID that links to their OKTA account

3 System then sends the user a OKTA push to authenticate

4 User is now authenticated and can unlock their account if needed

I was wondering is there an add on or an option to hide a PIN in the OKTA app? I don't want to ask a user to enter or say an email and I don't want to rely on them remembering this ID, it needs to be at hand on an App. Ideally it would be a 6 digit number for example that they can enter easily in the phone menu

Any thoughts/Ideas?

Thanks

I was looking for docs on this matter and I was able to find the doc below that provides guidance on an integration:
