If there is any way to tweak Okta Cloud Identity app to sync create groups in CloudIdentity as security groups instead of mail groups in GCP

We are reaching out to see if there is any way to create security groups in Cloud Idnetity directly instead of converting mailing groups to Security groups. This is what we are trying to achieve:
The target design will use Okta and Google Cloud Identity to create a unique Cloud Identity user for each authorized GCP user. Users will then login to GCP via Okta and this Cloud Identity user account. In addition, AD groups used for granting specific GCP permissions would be synced to Cloud Identity as well. These users and groups in Cloud Identity would then be used to grant access to GCP projects and resources.

I have done some reaserch on this matter, however I was unable to anything on this subject. If you have a Paid service with Okta I would recommend to reach out to Support and further investigate this issue.
