hl06d (hl06d) asked a question.
Rather new to Okta and am looking to configure SSO for a web application but the web app only shows instructions for ADFS (Dell Wyse Management Suite). Is there a way I can take the ADFS information and use it in my Okta app to provide SSO capabilities? The web site provides a SAML 2.0 XML file as well as ADFS rules file. I know I can extract the certificate and some other information from the XML file but is there anything else I need?

Hi @hl06d (hl06d) - best way to tackle this would be leveraging our SAML Wizard to create that SSO integration. It sounds like you already have a lot of the details from your service provider. Let us know how you go!

Thanks for the link, I've been using that to define my SAML apps. This one has me a bit confused though. As mentioned the app is looking for an ADFS server so I'm just trying to point it at the Okta tenant instead of ADFS. I'm getting an error
ADFS Login was successful, but an error occurred in processing SAML Assertion.
SSO-SAML authentication exception: Could not get valid data. Please check the X.509 Signing Certificate and make sure its valid
I've tried adding the certificate that I extracted from the Metadata XML file (provided by the app) Tried adding to SAML settings -> Advanced ->Signing Certificate but no luck.
Hello @hl06d (hl06d) !
Just wondering if there was an update to this. We're looking at trying to do the same thing but am running into some issues trying to get it to work.
Not sure about this one John, have you tried via support?
I'm also curious in this scenario if you are using Okta as the IdP or a different IdP like ADFS? This instructions would differ from the two scenarios e.g. where the certificate should be exported and imported to.
