I have a question on self service password reset in okta.
I get that we can set it in authenticator -> password settings. This will enable people to reset their own password via emails, sms etc.
Is there a way to determine via apis if user is allowed to reset or not?
We have a use case where if user is allowed to reset they should else we need to alert admins immediately for quickly solving their reset password.
For eg: Azure has similar features and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/userregistrationdetails?view=graph-rest-1.0
Api gives whether user has capability or not based on all policies and checks.
