I created a SAML application in Okta. My web app successfully redirects to Okta for login with a saml AuthnRequest. After entering my credentials, I get a login failure with "User is not assigned to this application."
Presumably I've missed some configuration in Okta. Can anyone give me more details about what this means or what I've missed?

The reason for the error is that the user you are testing the application with has not been assigned to the application. To resolve this you need to navigate to the application ->Assignment Tab and assign the user to the application.
