User17014639121573600252 (Customer) asked a question.
We are using Okta Verify for Windows login, and later on Fastpass. We have employees that are not allowed to have their phones available while they work. Is Yubikey offline an option to use even though the PCs will be online? This is a new setup for us, so any documentation on setting up the Yubikeys would be great. I did see a post that indicated there was a limit to the number of times a user could use the offline Yubikey option. If so, what is the limit and how do we reset it? Thanks.

YubiKey and WebAuthn are two different technologies that provide strong authentication for online services. YubiKey is a hardware-based authentication device produced by Yubico, while WebAuthn is a standard for web authentication developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Yubikey offline is not supported for Windows Server specifically. - https://help.okta.com/oie/en-us/content/topics/oda/windows-mfa/configure-win-mfa.htm
As for the number of attempts, I haven’t seen any restrictions being discussed. - https://help.okta.com/oie/en-us/content/topics/oda/windows-mfa/win-mfa-end-user-experience.htm
As long as the PC is connected to the internet and the Time/date syncs automatically, it should keep in sync with the services.
