Store Computer blocked from accessing Okta

One of our retail stores is not able to access Okta on any browser. They receive error messages in each browser stating the connection has timed out.

We have whitelisted the public IP in Security -> Networks and our specific trusted IP Zone and they are still unable to access Okta.

Is there anything else I can check in the Okta Admin portal or is this an issue our Broadband provider needs to resolve for the store?

You likely need to do general troubleshooting.

    From outside this specific network:

    1) Can you ping <yoursubdomain.okta.com>?

    2) Can you perform DNS resolution to <yoursubdomain.okta.com>?

    From Inside this network:

    1) Can you access other external sites?

    2) Can you ping <yoursubdomain.okta.com>?

    3) Can you perform DNS resolution to <yoursubdomain.okta.com>?

    4) Do you have Web/HTTP proxies? If your traffic is all going out through a web proxy this is a common blocking point

    5) Are there any other "security" solutions that could be impacting traffic (packet inspection etc..)

If for example you can ping your subdomain outside of this environment but can't inside of it that would pretty much ensure the networking issue is inside this network.

You are also correct. It is possible this is an ISP issue. You could be stuck on a bad/dead route between this location and a data center hosting your Okta tenant. But I would say this is less likely than a localized issue at this site.

In either case. This is likely not a configuration issue on the Okta side.

@TimL.58332 (Workflows) I think you should also contact your network team, let they check the firewall rule.
