Will the 7 days activation link expiration period be reset if the lifecycle activate user with email endpoint is called a second time?

The documentation is not clear about this https://developer.okta.com/docs/reference/api/users/*activate-user

 

My understanding is that it will send another email to the user for them to setup the password. However, I'm wondering if the 7 days expiration period will also be re-set?
