I noticed that Okta session cookies was persistent even its setting in Global Session Policy is disabled. Any idea?

The Okta session would also be something that you need to keep in mind as well, if you have a user session of 8 hours closing the browser within that time then your session would still be active.

I looked the linked article. It referred to how to configure Persistent session with Global Session Policy rule. In my case, I don't want to persist session. Thus, Persist session cookies across browser sessions is disabled by default. However, I still see session id (idx) added as a cookie. How to configure NOT using idx session cookie?
I meant not saving idx as session cookie but keeping it in session storage. Thus session would be removed after user closes browser.
Also what happened if Persist session cookies across browser sessions is enabled?
