SCIM Group Sync behavir

I just found that when I add or remove member of one SCIM Group, there are will a lot GET and PUT for Groups. and It stops when the order of members in the group is same in GET Response and PUT request.

I think it's might be Okta's problem to fix that? as long as the content in members is same then should stop keep calling PUT and GET

  • Sorry, Update.... I think it's coincidence.

But I do found it will call multiple GET and PUT when the content is the same, and PUT with different order....

if anyone know why, please let me know. Thanks

Hi @User1683671781615838106 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

Can't see any explicit description of the behavior in our documentation, but I would think this is expected.

    https://developer.okta.com/docs/reference/scim/scim-20/#update-specific-group-membership

My advice would be to reach out to the dedicated Developer Forum devforum.okta.com to take advantage of their expertise.

While we'll do our best to answer all of your questions here, this medium is more inclined towards Okta core products and features (non-developer work).

    Hope my answer helps!
