I want to identify a way to add a user to a group without doing it manually. We can allow users to add an app via self service but there is no way to add a user to a group in the same manner. Is there any way to add a user to a group based on if they have access to an app? Is there any way to automate adding a user to a group if we don't have standardized job titles or roles?

The Group Rules feature currently does not offer functionality based on app assignments and I know there was a feature request for "Group self-service" a while back, but it did not get much traction.
