tl;dr
- Accounts added to Okta Verify while I was an employee do not work. The OTPs are not accurate (an example of this is Coinbase). However, accounts added after my departure have OTPs that work.
- I can't transfer any account on Okta Verify from my old iPhone to my new iPhone.

I sincerely apologize but I find myself in a bit of a bind. For background, I was an account executive at Okta from 2018 - 2022. My name is Dan O'Holleran.
The reason I'm reaching out is urgent to me but I did not want to have an SLA get hit because you're helping a loyal Oktanaut.
I upgraded my iPhone 13 Pro to the iPhone 14 Pro. Transferring my accounts on Google Authenticator was incredibly easy; all I had to do was scan a QR code (YES, I still have the old phone because of the OTPs I wanted to transfer).
I used to sell the story to CISOs and CIOs all the time, "Your employees might not like MFA at first, but with Okta Verify with Push Approvals to their phone, even their watch, they're going to love it! As an added bonus, once your employees leave XYZ company, they will be able to use Okta Verify for their own personal needs. I personally use mine for my bank, Coinbase, and anything that will allow OTP!"
Please note: This was true but I was using Okta Verify before FastPass/Okta 2.0
Now, it's interesting. That did in fact work for any app I added after leaving Okta. Ie. my Coinbase OTP doesn't work because I set it up while I was an active Okta employee. However, Coinlist and Proton Mail—for example, which were added after my departure from Okta, do work.
On to part two. This is the tricky part. I can't transfer any account on Okta Verify from my old phone to my new iPhone. We're talking about cryptocurrencies, money, and data locked on an old phone. How do I transfer my accounts from my iPhone 13 Pro Okta Verify to my iPhone 14 Pro Okta Verify?
I went through Okta community support channels, read countless articles, and actually found the best answer for my second issue on ChatGPT.

At this time there no way to transfer the accounts from one phone to an other in bulk. This has to be done manually, from the user interface of the account you have setup the MFA.
There are a few requests done to produc management, however there is no ETA when and if this will be implemented with Okta verify.
