JohnB.54129 (Customer) asked a question.

new domain controllers

Hello

We are standing up new domain controllers in order to comply with new guidelines. I have transferred all FSMO roles to the new DC's. My management wants to fully validate the new DC's by shutting down the old ones for a day. Will the Okta AD Agent automatically adjust to the new domain controllers or do we need to tweak anything on the Okta AD Agent prior to shutting down the old DC's?

Thanks

John

The agents should be able to connect to the new domain controllers. I’m assuming you have the agents installed on Member Servers and not Domain controllers. If that is the case, the AD agent will use Microsoft Sites and Services to communicate with the DCs. So as long as the DCs are reachable from the Agent servers, there should not be any issues.
