Simplest way to set custom profile attribute from group membership
Hi,
We're looking for a way to automatically apply a specific value to a custom profile attribute for a subset of our users, based on their group memberships.
For example, if a user is a member of the group "Data Administrators", a specific custom profile attribute will take on a specific pre-defined value. Likewise, removing the user from that group will reset that profile attribute.
Is there a remotely simple way of doing this? We're fairly new to Okta so any pointers would be appreciated.

I don't know if there's any easy way to achieve this, but I let others chime in as well. Using some workflow might be the only option.
By looking at the Okta's ideas page it seems like there's quite a lot of similar ideas already closed without any action. Maybe you can open another one and see if it sticks?
