frzsi (frzsi) asked a question.
Hello
On the developer tenant we are testing the custom domain before attaching it to the actual production tenant.
I set a value in the DNS record of the custom domain last Friday according to the guide provided by Okta.
However, even if I click Next on the update your DNS screen in Okta, the error message below appears and does not proceed.
The certificate could not be provisioned. Double check that your DNS entries are correct, or wait a few minutes for propagation.
How can we solve this problem?

Hi @frzsi (frzsi) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
Unfortunately there is no one-shot answer for this as there could be multiple root causes.
Based on what I was able to find, this type of issue might be caused by missing DNS files.
Others have fixed it by removing the old CNAME and rebuild everything.
Some people mentioned that the Proxy setting needs to be turned off in the CNAME, and the "Proxy status" as "DNS only".
If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.
Hope my answer helps!
