Can someone point out or reference any link on Okta to Okta migration approach?
** Use Case ** :
Two company currently merged, but one of them wants to disentangle and stand up its own Okta Env. Migrate users, apps, policies etc, and setup new endpoints.
What would be the high level steps? I just want to put high-level approach.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
From the question it looks like you want to put a subset of users into another Okta Org from your master Okta Org.
You can create attributes, apps etc in the new Org and move from Org1(master) to Org2. The main problem will be with the Passwords.
There are two approaches I can think of :
(1) Keep users in Org1 and copy them in Org2. :
(2) Tag all the users to a specific Group and raise case with Okta team if they can help to move users with their passwords to another Org. With the help form PS they may achieve this. This is the best possible way I can think of, as you don't need to think about passwords as both Orgs will be able to adapt hashing mechanism.

Any suggestion on the app migration part, will the API export of App metadata will help the migration. Eventually we need to create new points on new Org. Any perspective on this on how we can speed things up.
