7qzjd (7qzjd) asked a question.
Hello,
We have our own app published in the catalog, which is a on-prem SharePoint installation. The access to the SharePoint is based on Okta groups, which are pushed back to our on-prem AD.
Since the Okta group membership is mandatory to access SharePoint, is there any way to allow approver to assign Okta groups during the approval process?
Say we have an existing user in Okta, not member of any group. The user requests an app, an approver approves it, hence the user sees the icon, but since he is not member of any group no SharePoint access is possible.
Anyone with the similar setup?
Thank you.

Hi @7qzjd (7qzjd) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
Group Assignment and App Approval are two separate processes, there currently is no way to tie then and automate the flow.
You can suggest a Feature Enhancement on the Okta Community page by going to the Community→ Ideas tab. Features suggested in our community are reviewed and can be voted and commented on by other members. High popularity will increase the likelihood of it being picked up by the Product Team and it being implemented.
