I have two Okta Tenants, with Tenant A being the Hub (for internal users authentication) and Tenant B being the spoke that connects via SAML to Tenant A. The issue I am running into is that I want the username field to be populated with a specific value from the user profile when going from Tenant B to Tenant A. I am using the Org2Org app to connect the two tenants.
Currently what happens is that once the Tenant B redirects to Tenant A for login, It populates the username field with the email address of the user in Tenant B. I don't want to change the actual username field in the user profile on either tenant, but would like to override the LoginHint parameter when Tenant B is making the saml request to Tenant A. There is another field "secondEmail" that I would like Tenant B to pass to Tenant A as the LoginHint so that its the value that's prepopulated on the sign in page for Tenant A.
I have looked around quite a bit in the forums as well as docs and haven't found a solution for this yet. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi @RohitK.80500 (Customer),
Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
I have done some research and it seems that the LoginHint parameter cannot be modified in order to send another value. Based on the tests I performed in my own environment, the username field is being automatically populated based on the value that the user is writing on the login page, therefore my recommendation would be to submit a feature request in case you would like to have the capability to override the LoginHint parameter. The best way to file a feature request would be from the community site.
